  • Kanopy is a streaming service that specialised in classic, independent, and educational films and TV shows.
  • Kanopy Kids provides unlimited access to educational and engaging content for all ages.
  • You can watch films and TV shows using Kanopy tickets. You receive 24 Kanopy tickets per month from Willoughby City Library. Tickets reset on the first day of the month, and unused tickets do not roll over to the next month.

For mobile

  1. Download the Kanopy app on your mobile device from your app store.
  2. Click on the ‘Get started' button.
  3. Click 'Find Library', then select 'Willoughby Library Service - New South Wales'.
  4. Enter your Library card number and click 'Next'. Please make sure to include 'X' when entering your Library card number.
  5. Create an account with your name, email address and password. Read and accept the terms of service and privacy, then click 'Sign up'.
  6. Once you have found an item you want to watch, click the item image.
  7. Click the play icon or add to your watchlist.

For computer

  1. Go to the Willoughby Library Service Kanopy page.
  2. Click 'Add a library card'.
  3. Enter your Library card number and click 'Continue'. Please make sure to include 'X' when entering your Library card number. 
  4. Create your account with your name, email address and password. Read and accept the terms of service and privacy policy, then click 'Sign up'.
  5. You will receive a verification email. Follow the link in the email to verify your email address.
  6. Once you have found an item you want to watch, click the item image.
  7. Click the play button or add to your watchlist.
