For Mobile

  1. Download the BorrowBox app on your mobile device from your App Store
  2. Open the app, in the Library field, search for Willoughby City Library
  3. Sign in with your Library barcode and password
  4. Agree to the ‘’Terms and Conditions’’, enter your email address and touch Done
  5. Browse and make your selection, tap Borrow and confirm Loan
  6. Tap Download Now to download to your device
  7. My Account provides member details, current loans, holds and loan history.

You can borrow 10 items for 3 weeks, items can be renewed twice. There are no reservation charges and no overdue fees as your loans are automatically returned upon expiry.

  1. Download Adobe Digital Editions and create an Adobe ID (eBooks)
  2. Download Windows Media Player or iTunes (eAudiobooks)
  3. Click on BorrowBox link on Willoughby City Library website under ‘Digital Library’
  4. Click on ‘Sign in’, enter your library card barcode and password
  5. Follow the prompt to complete your registration
  6. Browse and make your selection, tap Borrow and confirm Loan
  7. Tap Download Now to download to your device
  8. Locate the downloaded ACSM file and right click to open it with Adobe Digital Editions
  9. My Account provides member details, current loans, holds and loan history

indyreads™  provides access to a statewide collection of independent Australian and international titles, classic literature and modern award-winning titles in eBook and eAudio format.  There are titles in community languages including Chinese, French, Italian, Spanish and Vietnamese.

For mobile

  1. Download the indyreads™ app on your mobile device from your app store
  2. Open the app, in the library field, search for Willoughby City Library
  3. Sign in with your Willoughby library card barcode and password/PIN
  4. Read and accept the 'Terms and conditions of use', and tap Login
  5. Browse and make your selection, tap Borrow
  6. Tap the download icon to download to your device
  7. Tap on More to see your checkouts history, holds, settings and account information

  1. Go to the indyreads™ website
  2. Login to the site, select Willoughby City Library from the list of libraries
  3. Enter your Willoughby library card barcode and password/PIN

Libby, by OverDrive

Borrow eBooks, eAudiobooks and eMagazines to read on your phone, tablet or computer using the Libby app by OverDrive. Learn more on the Libby website.

For Mobile

  1. Download the Libby app on your mobile device from your App Store.
  2. In Libby, follow the prompts to select Willoughby City Library and sign in with your Willoughby library card. Please make sure to use a lower case 'x' when entering your library card number. 
  3. Browse the catalogue to find a title to borrow. You can tap Preferences to browse eBooks, eAudiobooks or eMagazines only. You can also tap Explore to browse by suggested genres and categories.
  4. To borrow, tap on the cover image then tap Borrow. Libby will ask you to confirm the loan by tapping the Borrow! button. Borrowed titles appear under Shelf > Loans and download to the app automatically when you're connected to Wi Fi, so you can read them when you're offline.
  5. From your Loans, you can:
  • Tap the book or magazine cover image to start reading or listening to the selected title.
  • Tap Manage Loan to see options like Renew and Return Early.

  2. In Libby, follow the prompts to select Willoughby City Library and sign in with your Willoughby library card. Please make sure to use a lower case 'x' when entering your library card number.
  3. Browse the catalogue to find a title to borrow. 

OR

  1. Visit our OverDrive website.
  2. Click Sign in button.
  3. Enter your Willoughby library card number and pin to sign in.
  4. You can search or browse eBooks, eAudiobooks and eMagazines
  5. Make your selection and click Borrow. Confirm loan by clicking the borrow button in the pop up window. 
  6. My account provides access to LoansHoldsWish list and other features.
