Save the shark with Scratch!

We will use Scratch to create a game which will guide the shark through its natural ocean habitat, avoiding plastic pollution to reach its favourite food source, fish!

This game engages with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals for environmental sustainability : Life Below Water and Responsible Consumption and Production.

This free event is part of Council’s Live Well in Willoughby series of events, talks and workshops providing fun ways to rethink your lifestyle to create a more sustainable future.

This activity is designed for 7 to 9-year-olds who have had some experience using Scratch.

We do ask that guardians/parents remain in the room at all times during these sessions. You can join in the fun or do your own thing - we have eResources to keep you amused if coding is not for you!

Requirements: Windows 10+, macOS 10.13+, Chrome OS, or Android 6.0+

You can use the online editor or download Scratch to your device.

Note: A second device or second screen is recommended for these sessions - one to follow the tutorial and the other to work on Scratch.
