Get ready to make some robot art!
In this fun, hands-on 60-minute STEM workshop, children aged 6 to 9 years will discover how simple coding instructions can bring an Edison Bot to life and even turn it into an artist.
Children will learn how to program their Edison Bot to move and turn before adding an EdSketch marker and watching their code become a real drawing. They will experiment with lines, shapes and unexpected patterns before creating their very own piece of robot art.
No previous coding or robotics experience is needed. The workshop is designed especially for beginners with simple instructions, plenty of opportunities to experiment and an emphasis on creativity and fun.
What to bring
- Participants will need access to a laptop with a USB-A port for coding and connecting to the Edison Bot.
- Edison Bots and EdSketch markers will be provided.
Come and discover what happens when coding, robotics and creativity collide - your robot might not draw exactly what you expect, but that’s all part of the fun.
Visitor information
Children under the age of 11 should be supervised by someone over 18 at all times in the Library.
