Chatswood Library study rooms for high school students

Chatswood Library has four study rooms available free of charge for students undertaking group study.

Availability

  • Until 3 pm on weekdays, and all day on weekends, rooms can be booked by any group of three or more students with valid student ID.
  • From 3 pm until closing on weekdays, rooms are reserved for HSC students only.

Students may book a room for up to two hours per day. Bookings must be made in person on the day. If a room is not booked, it may be used by anyone. However, users will need to vacate the room if a booking is made.

Booking conditions

  • One booking per group per day. If you are already part of a group booking, you cannot make another booking that day.
  • Minimum 3 students and maximum 8 to 12 students per room, depending on capacity.
  • Bookings must be made in person on the day.
  • All students must show a valid student ID at check-in.
  • Lidded or bottled drinks are permitted. Food is not allowed in the library.
  • Please do not move furniture. 
  • Paid bookings take priority and groups may be asked to vacate if a paid booking is scheduled.
