Learn the basics of one of the world's most popular languages with Joy Zhou, a native speaker and certified Mandarin teacher!

Join our beginner-friendly group where you can immerse yourself in the beauty of the language in a relaxed and friendly environment. Practice your Mandarin, make new friends, and dive into the rich language and culture. Share your language skills, learn from others, and join us for an enjoyable experience that goes beyond words!

This class is suitable for adults and young adults over the age of 16.

Upcoming Classes

  • Term 3: Saturday 3 August to Saturday 28 September 2024. Booking open Saturday 13 July.
  • Term 4: Saturday 26 October to Saturday 7 December 2024. Booking open Saturday 5 October.

Mode: Face-to-face.

Elementary (9:30am - 10:30am)

Continuation of last term's Mandarin Class Beginner Level 1. With basic knowledge of pinyin, this class will teach students more vocabulary and start to practice basic sentence structure - statements and questions (who, when, where, how, etc.). Students will also learn how to use past tense, present tense, and future tense.

Intermediate (10:45am - 11:45am)

Continuation of last term's Mandarin Class Beginner Level 2. With basic knowledge of pinyin and a certain level of basic vocabulary, this class will focus more on grammar, sentence structure, and conversation practice. We will include topics like position, direction, weather, colour, transportation, and moving house.
