Bookmaking and writing workshop (7-12 years)

In this series of five workshops, children will create their own ‘paper-bag’ book and then fill it with their creative writing and art!

In the first session, children will make a ‘paper-bag book’ and then fill it over the following four sessions with their creative writing, poetry, and character descriptions. Children can then create a collage, illustration or artwork to accompany their creative writing.

Each of the creative writing sessions are designed to be fun and engaging - inspiring children to keep writing and creating at home!

If they would like, children can display their books in the library after the workshops.

This workshop is presented by a Children & Young Adult librarian with teaching qualifications.

Suitable for ages 7-12 years old.
