Reading, enjoying and making comics (6-10 years)

MainImage.jpg
Join respected graphic novelist, Christof Bocas as he helps budding young storytellers make their own comics.

It doesn’t matter if you are new to comics or already love them, this workshop explains how comics work through accessible and practical examples. You will learn the power of combining words and pictures, how sequencing images changes their meaning and how gutters alter the way we perceive sequential images. This workshop culminates in you using everything you’ve learned to script and draw your own simple comics!

Chris’s 2023 debut graphic novel 'Under Kingdom' was a middle grade fantasy-comedy with an emphasis on non-violent problem solving. Earlier this year, Chris had a licensed Rick and Morty Comic 'Rick and Morty Presents: Finals Week' published through Oni Press. His new graphic novel 'Earth to Chris Cleevy' is due out next year.
