Have fun while learning how to write Chinese scripts and how to paint a rabbit using a traditional Chinese brush.
In this workshop, Franz Cheung will teach you basic calligraphy strokes, allowing you to make regular characters in Chinese. He will also show you how to construct a whole character according to the stroke order. Participants will learn how to paint rabbit cartoons from samples, and will create a half writing, half picture symbol. You can take your lucky rabbit home and celebrate the arrival of the Year of the Rabbit.
No Chinese calligraphy and painting experience required.
Franz Cheung is an expert Chinese calligrapher and painting artist. He is the Vice President of the Australian Oriental Calligraphy Society.
This workshop is intended for adults and is suitable for accompanied children aged 8+ years.
