Irveen has taught creative writing for the past 2 years. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from UTS and is passionate about creative writing. She has written several short stories, essays and a novel.
During this creative writing fundamentals course, participants will learn actionable techniques to improve their creative writing skills. This course focuses on helping students to:
- Brainstorm story ideas.
- Build an understanding of the genre they’d like to write in.
- Do research related to their areas of interest.
- Frame the story to make it engaging.
- Build multidimensional characters.
- Create a story arc.
- Manage the writing process.
- Self-edit a draft.
- Polish the final piece.
Please note:
- This event is ticketed at $25.00 per ticket (plus Eventbrite fees).
- One ticket is for all 5 sessions.
- Tickets are non-refundable, including for missed sessions.
