A fun introduction to healthcare - with teddies!
Teddy Bear Hospital is an event run by Macquarie University medical and healthcare university students that teaches children how to engage with medicine and the healthcare system - with teddy bears!
The session involves four stations that the children rotate through: Teddy in Hospital, Teddy Ambulance, Hand Hygiene and Teddy Imaging. Each station gives children an opportunity to be hands-on and get comfortable with the medical equipment relevant to that topic, while having fun.
The Macquarie University Global Health Society will provide all the required equipment, but children are welcome to bring their own teddies - the more the merrier!
Visitor Information
Parents and guardians do not need to book a ticket.
Children under the age of 11 should be supervised by someone over 18 at all times in the Library.
