Learn to sew, connect with others and create something amazing! Join our adult sewing group every Tuesday. All skill levels welcome!


Whether you're a seasoned pro or just starting out, this group is the perfect opportunity to sharpen your sewing skills and meet other sewing enthusiasts in the community.

Our knowledgeable and friendly sewists will be on hand to offer guidance, answer questions, and share tips and tricks. Whether you're interested in making clothing, home decor, or accessories, our sewing group is the perfect place to get started.

For most sessions, you will be required to bring your own fabric. Make sure to read the requirements and fabric suggestions provided below each session.


13, 20, 27 August 2024: Adult PJ Top

This project will span three weeks to complete. You only need to book for 13 August for the three sessions. Bookings open 30 July.

Requirements - You will need to bring the following materials:

  • 2.5 to 3 meters flannel fabric.


3, 10, 17 September 2024: A-Line skirt

This project will span three weeks to complete. You only need to book for 3 September for the three sessions.

Requirements - You will need to bring the following materials:

  • 1.5m to 2m cotton or linen fabric
  • 1m to 1.5m elastic (at least 2cm in width)


17 September 2024: Sew and Finish Night

For sewing club members to complete any unfinished projects from this term.


24 September 2024: Furoshiki

Explore the elegance of furoshiki, the traditional Japanese wrapping cloth, and craft your own stunning fabric squares. Add a unique touch with Korean and Chinese patchwork or Japanese sashiko embroidery.

We’ll provide materials for a 50cm x 50cm furoshiki, but feel free to bring your own quilter cotton fabric if you prefer a different size or pattern.
