Mashman’s Brick Works [generally known as Mashman’s Pottery]:

Our next door neighbour, Mrs Thompson, interested my mother in pottery, so Tacker would drive us to the pottery to buy clay, then we would make vases and/or trays. Then, after they hardened, we would take them down to Mashman’s to bake and glaze.
