Don’t miss this opportunity to learn more about choosing a data plan and some tricks to managing data.

In this course, you'll learn:

  • how data for your internet connection is sold in a plan
  • how internet providers sell data to you, and what happens if you use too much data
  • managing your internet data plan, and the amount of data you use.

If you stay aware of how much data you use each month, you can adjust your internet data plan, and maybe save some money. For instance, if you bought a small plan, but realise you need more data after all, you can change to a larger plan that lets you do more on the internet. You can also often change from a larger plan to a smaller plan, but this is more difficult and may incur some penalty charges.

Be Connected is an Australian government initiative committed to increasing the confidence, skills and online safety of older Australians. This workshop is presented in conjunction with volunteers from Acoustic Blinds and Curtains, a Be Connected partner, and is based on Be Connected resources.
