MainImage.jpg
Learn how your mobile device can pinpoint its own location, and how this can be used by various apps to help you get around.

You’ll find out about Google Maps and its various features and learn about other useful apps to help you plan an outing or get around when you’re away from home.

The workshop covers:

  • location services
  • using the Google Maps app
  • rideshare and taxi apps
  • timetable and public transport apps
  • roadside assist and traffic apps.

Be Connected is an Australian government initiative committed to increasing the confidence, skills and online safety of older Australians. This workshop is presented in conjunction with volunteers from Acoustic Blinds and Curtains, a Be Connected partner, and is based on Be Connected resources.
