Join us to learn more about antivirus software.

In today's digital age, we rely heavily on computers, laptops, smartphones, and tablets, which are all vulnerable to cyber threats that can compromise our personal information.

This Cyber Security Awareness Month, join us to learn more about antivirus software and how it can protect your devices and data from malicious malware and computer viruses.

Topics include:

  • What is antivirus software?
  • What antivirus protection comes with my device?
  • Free vs. paid antivirus software.
  • How to safely download and install antivirus apps.
  • How to run a scan on a device or file.
  • What to do if a virus is found?

Be Connected is an Australian government initiative committed to increasing the confidence, skills and online safety of older Australians. This workshop is presented in conjunction with volunteers from Acoustic Blinds and Curtains, a Be Connected partner, and is based on Be Connected resources.
