Chinese Fan Painting Workshop

MainImage.jpg
Come and learn how to paint on a Chinese fan.

The fan has played an important part in Chinese life. Not only are fans used to drive away heat and stay cool during summer days, but the traditional Chinese fan also has a profound history and culture. Fans have been used as artworks, combining Chinese calligraphy, paintings or poems.

This Lunar New Year, look inwards and explore your personal landscapes using flowers or birds. Aven Wang will guide you through the process of painting a Chinese fan using simple ink techniques. The fan you paint will be yours to keep.

Materials will be provided.

Suitable for ages 18+.

We would like to acknowledge the support provided by China Cultural Centre in Sydney.
