Learn how to play traditional Chinese musical instruments and discover their unique charms!

Have you ever wanted to play a traditional Chinese musical instrument, but haven’t had the opportunity?

In this workshop, you will be introduced to traditional Chinese musical instruments. Learn about their history, the different types of instruments and their characteristics, how the sound is produced and other interesting facts. You will also learn basic techniques and get first-hand experience playing simple notes and tunes.

This workshop also features a special performance by Heavenly Music (天韻); a folk music band with a mission to help more people understand the beauty of Chinese music.

Suitable for adults and children aged 10+ accompanied by an adult.

Visitor Information

Children under the age of 11 should be supervised by someone over 18 at all times in the Library.
