Dungeons and Dragons school holiday session (8-11 years)

Chatswood Library’s very own Dungeon Master guides you through a quest of adventure, magic, battles, spells, intrigue and treasure!

Have you ever wanted to learn how to play Dungeons and Dragons? Join us for a single session these school holidays, with our remarkable Dungeon Master Will!

The dwarf grinned through gritted teeth, the warhammer in her hands eager for battle. The wizard beside her conjured dancing flames between his fingers and the elven thief disappeared into the shadows nearby, daggers at the ready. The treasure they'd fought so hard for was in reach. But between them and the piles of gold stood an immense red dragon, curls of smoke pouring out of its snarling mouth. The dwarf nodded fondly to her companions, and turned to face the dragon's fuming eyes. This was not going to be easy.

But oh man, was it going to be fun.

Come grab your sword, your shield - and maybe a few sets of dice - and join us for an adventure playing Dungeons and Dragons. You will create a character, then with the help of your Dungeon Master, you will be led through a story, and your choices guide where the adventure goes.

Dungeons and Dragons is a game of imagination where you can do just about anything, and uses dice to determine how successful you are - whether you can fight some rampaging goblins, or climb a tall crumbling cliff, or avoid the strike of a magical bolt of lightning. During the game you'll be solving puzzles, fighting terrible monsters, talking to other characters, and discovering incredible treasures.

So come and join this collaborative storytelling journey and see where your adventure takes you!

Please note: This session is for children aged between 8 and 11 years. Limited to 5 seats only.
