Whether you're a seasoned pro or just starting out, this group is the perfect opportunity to sharpen your sewing skills and meet other sewing enthusiasts in the community.
Our knowledgeable and friendly sewists will be on hand to offer guidance, answer questions, and share tips and tricks. Whether you're interested in making clothing, home decor, or accessories, our sewing group is the perfect place to get started.
For most sessions, you will be required to bring your own fabric. Make sure to read the requirements and fabric suggestions provided below each session.
7 and 14 May 2024 - mid-length maxi skirts.
This project will span two weeks to complete. You only need to book for 7 May for both the two sessions.
Requirements: You will need to bring the following materials:
- 2.5m - 3m of woven fabric (recommend width between 120cm - 140cm). This can include fabrics like linen and cotton.
- 1 - 2 inch wide elastic to fit your waist.
21, 28 May, 4th June 2024 - womens t-shirts.
This project will span three weeks to complete. You only need to book for 21 May for the three sessions.
Requirements: You will need to bring the following materials:
- 150cm knit fabric with 50% horizontal stretch - 2m
Note: for knit fabrics that are less than 150cm wide, it is recommended to purchase 2.5m of fabric.
