History talk: West of the railway line

Join Local Studies Librarian, Shirley Ramrakha, for a history talk on Willoughby suburbs – Lane Cove North and Chatswood West.

The talk will cover the significant developments of the area and how it has changed, as well as a look at photographs from the Local Studies Collection.

We will also explore the following questions:

  • Why did residents hear gunshots?
  • What scientific 'wonderland' was built in the area?
  • Which 2 famous Australian poets made the area home for a several of years?
